| Current Positions: Survey Technician and Surveyor Trainees Salary Range: Competitive salary Location: HQ – Lafayette LA Description: GOSI has opportunities for committed individuals able to solve unique problems utilizing innovative solutions. Headquartered in Lafayette, Louisiana GOSI currently has projects throughout the Gulf of Mexico. We conduct pipeline and geophysical hazard surveys, down structure surveys and inspections surveys for major oil and gas companies. GOSI is seeking entry level and experienced geophysical and hydrographic surveyors to operate surveying equipment, provide daily reporting, maintain instruments on survey boats, analyze and interpret raw data using HyPack and other proprietary software. Requirements: Courses of study in Engineering, Marine Sciences, Survey Sciences, Construction Management or equivalent; multi or single beam hydrographic surveying experience, USBL, Magnetometer, Sub-bottom Profiler experience a plus, exp. with GPS/RTK and CAD, MS Office, Excel, Word and mathematical background.
